PICS: This cozy Kilkenny treehouse is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway

Valentine's Day is here and for anyone who forgot to pick up a gift, why not book a romantic getaway in a genuine treehouse in Co Kilkenny with that special someone.

The Braille House is a treehouse set at the bottom of a long garden in the heart of Kilkenny that has proven to be one of the most popular listings on Air BnB.
A 10 minutes stroll from the town centre, the cozy treehouse is described as a "true rural retreat in an urban setting" that the owners say is "a one of a kind beautifully decorated, calm and relaxing space".
While it may be close to the centre of Kilkenny City, the gorgeous property is secluded by trees and birdsong and offers guests plenty of privacy for a romantic getaway.
The house itself is very warm, it's insulated, has two radiators and there's a bioethanol fireplace to cozy up to on a cold winters night or an outdoor picnic area with festoon lighting and a bombfire for a warm summers evening.
The interior is quirky, with unique art work, a wall of coloured blocks, a hot air balloon and not a straight line in sight. In fact the house is called The Braille House as we had to feel our way through the project, with only a napkin drawing as our plan.
The owners have also just added a beautiful bathroom pod beside the treehouse, with shower and bath facilities making the treehouse a complete retreat experience.
There's also plenty of privacy on offer as the treehouse is located about 40m from the owners home meaning it's almost impossible to see from the main house in the Winter and in the Summer when the trees are in bloom you can't see it at all.
The property has proven a hit with guests on Air Bnb, with 100% of recent visitors giving the location a 5-star rating.
One review from 'Jane' says the treehouse "offers a unique, comfortable and central accommodation to choose for a trip to Kilkenny.
"The accommodation was equipped with heaters and a bioethanol fire so we had a cosy stay despite the January weather outside. Would definitely love to stay again should we ever make another trip up, thanks to the hosts for quick responses and easy check-in instructions".
Another guest, Federica, said her weekend in the tree house "was simply magical" and that "the place was even more cozy than the pictures".
The treehouse is on offer for €100 per night for two people and you can check out the listing on the Air Bnb site here.
Recently we've seen a number of properties pop up online that would make the perfect location for a romantic getaway.
