Yellow weather warning issued across the country for Friday

A yellow weather warning for strong winds has been issued by Met Eireann for Friday.

The warning was issued nationwide by the national broadcaster, with winds set to begin picking up overnight Thursday.
Met Eireann have put the warning in place from 6am Friday until 10pm Friday, saying "Very windy on Friday with possibly storm force winds along parts of the coast."
As for the weather today (Thursday), sheets of rain and sleet are set to clear from the east of the country, with showers creeping in across the west.
As evening sets in, the west and south-west coast can expect to find clouds in the sky and more persistent rain developing.

Temperatures will reach a max of between seven and ten degrees, with this temperature staying up during the night, only dropping to lows of four to seven degrees.
Rain will spread across the country overnight, leading to a wet start to Friday nationwide.
